ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed a bail petition seeking the suspension of the seven-year sentence handed to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia reference in December last year.
A bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani announced the decision.
“This is not a case of unusual circumstance,” the IHC bench said in detailed judgment, comprised of nine pages.
The court adjourned the hearing till March 4.
