NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – A 28-year-old woman strangled her husband to death, who, she alleged, would force her to drink his urine, police said.
The incident took place in south Delhi on Thursday night, reported Indian Express.
The woman, identified as Jyoshna, has been arrested. After killing her husband, she fled from the house with their four-year-old son, the police said. She worked as a domestic help.
According to police, the incident came to light when Ramesh Nand, 36, was found dead at his residence by his brother.
“He immediately informed the police, who found a chunni (dopatta) wrapped around his neck,” a police officer said. The body was sent for an autopsy.
Police suspected the victim’s wife as she was missing. After questioning relatives, police arrested Jyoshna. She claimed her husband used to beat her daily with sticks and tongs. He would also force her to drink his urine.
