KARACHI (Web Desk) – Super model Ayyan Ali on Friday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) against the re-inclusion of her name in Exit Control List (ECL) for the third time, in direct violation of court decisions.
Ayyan pleaded that despite the decisions of Sindh High Court and the Supreme Court, her name had been placed on the ECL once again. She requested the court to term the move as illegal.
Arguing the petition, her counsel Sardar Latif Khosa said that while the former President General (R) Pervez Musharaf had been allowed to travel abroad, despite the registration of criminal cases against him, his client was being restrained from travelling in violation of court orders.
Earlier on June 15, the ministry of interior had removed the name of Ayyan Ali from the Exit Control List and the secretary of the federal interior ministry had informed the Sindh High Court that there was no legal impediment on her travelling abroad.
