Turkey’s DJ Kantik announces engagement to Pakistani girl

LAHORE - A renowned Turkish DJ has announced his engagement to a girl from the Pakistani city of Lahore.

Ferhat Kantik, who is famous as “DJ Kantik”, took to the social media to share the news with his fans and followers on Friday. “My Engagement ceremony and I am very happy.May ALLAH shower all his blessings on us... Yani özetle Kızı sonunda aldım nişanı taktık dostlar, ❤Bizi seviyoruz (So in a nutshell, I finally got the girl),” he wrote on his Instagram page while sharing a picture with his fiancée.

The 31-year-old musician was born in Manisa, Turkey.

Kantik, who has taken the stage in over 40 countries worldwide, also enthralled the audience in Quetta earlier this week.

The Turkish performer received a warm welcome from students at the University of Balochistan in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday.

Kantik was specially invited for the event organised by Faisal Productions and Tetra Star in collaboration with the university.

Javed Iqbal, the university’s vice chancellor, welcomed Kantik, saying it was an honor to welcome an international artist to the university. "Turkey is our sister country and we’re always happy to welcome our Turkish brethren here," Iqbal said in his welcoming remarks.

For DJ Kantik, this was his first-ever performance in Quetta, southwestern Pakistan, where thousands of people welcomed him on his arrival.

The Turkish national flag was flown on the main stage to show love and respect for Turkey.
