MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Bollywood’s Mr Perfect, Amir Khan, is not part of upcoming sequel to his super hit movie Lagaan, which gained much appreciation worldwide in 2001.
According to NDTV there have been reports that Khan was working in second installment of Lagaan but the latest information has confirmed that these reports are not true at all.
Meanwhile it claimed that I, Me Aur Main actress Prachi Desai has been finalised to play the female lead in the sequel.
2001’s Lagaan, which also featured Gracy Singh, Suhasini Mulay and Kulbhushan Kharbanda along Amir Khan, revolved around a small village where the locals were oppressed by high tax rates by British rulers and an arrogant officer challenged them to a game of cricket as a wager to avoid taxes.
Amir is busy filming Nitesh Tiwari’s Dangal these days. The actor will appear in the role of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie.
