HARIPUR – At least 15 workers suffered burn injuries on Wednesday when a furnace unit of a steel mill exploded in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, local media reported.
Eight out of 15, who came into to contact with molten metal, received serious burns, while eyes of some labourers also affected due to the blast. The causes of it yet to be determined.
Following the incident, local police reached the spot and shifted the victims to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Wah Cantt.
The hospital is around 38 kilometres away from the Hazara division, which has no burn unit.
