ISLAMABAD – The funeral prayers of renowned poetess Farzana Naz, who breathed her last after a tragic fall from a stage at an event, have been offered.
According to reports, Farzana was attending the closing ceremony of a literary festival at Islamabad’s Pak-China Friendship Hall but unfortunately, she fell from a 12ft high stage.
She was immediately rushed to Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, where she remained in intensive care. A status from her Facebook profile urged masses to pray for swift recovery, but she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
According to the doctors, she got a head injury after falling from some height. The Islamabad-based poetess is survived by a six-year-old daughter and four-year-old son.
Naz had one collection of poems titled ‘Hijrat Mujh Se Lipat Gayi’ to her credit.
