Imran backs Nisar’s suggestion of appointing NAB chief by SC

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Monday welcomed the statement of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar regarding appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) head by the Supreme Court (SC).

Talking to the media, Imran Khan said that the opposition was on the same page regarding Panama case, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have to be answerable. The PTI chairman also urged the Supreme Court (SC) to hear case of Panama Leaks against the family of PM Nawaz on a daily basis.

He noted that NAB was aiding and abetting corruption in Pakistan, adding that 12 cases were pending with the accountability department against the prime minister, but nothing has been done so far. He added that the NAB should be placed under the apex court.

Criticising the statement of Khawaja Asif regarding nuclear threat to Israel, he said that Jewish lobby was already after the nuclear programme of Pakistan and such statements would only defame the country.
