Another five Pakistani soldiers martyred during election duty in Battagram

RAWALPINDI – Five more troops of Pakistan Army were martyred while serving the nation during elections duty after their vehicle fell into 250 feet down the cliff on roadside in NA-12 Battagram.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the soldiers were coming back after delivering election material at NA-12 Returning Officer office when the met the accident.

Major General Asif Ghafoor, DG ISPR, tweeted as saying, “No sacrifice is more sacred than the life sacrificed in line of duty”.

Earlier, three Army soldiers were among four killed in a Tuesday night gun attack while protecting polling staff in Baleeda area of southern Pakistan, the ISPR said on Wedneday.

According to the military’s media wing, the incident took place last night in Dashtak area of Balochistan when a Military Protection Party providing security to polling staff of NA-271 Kech district was ambushed near Pak-Iran border.
