LARKANA (Staff Reporter) – Former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has been elected as Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians’ president.
As per details, after the main event of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary, PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting held under the chair of PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The committee unanimously elected Asif Ali Zardari as the president of the party.
Zardari succeeds Amin Faheem who had died last month.
Announcing the decision, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said PPP CEC has termed federation’s steps akin to weakening the center.
PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said the federation can’t impose its decision on any province, adding that they will resist any extrajudicial act, whether governor rule or any other rule.
