ISLAMABAD – Six people were injured after the passenger loading stairs of an airplane collapsed at Islamabad airport on Tuesday, local media reported.
The incident happened at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport when the passengers were getting on an international flight of a private company.
According to media, the stairs were already in poor condition and collapsed when passengers were using it, leaving six persons, including women and children, injured.
The rescue team reached the spot and shifted the people to a hospital for medical treatment. The injuries are reportedly minor to moderate.
An investigation into the matter has been launched.
