ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The Transparency International says Pakistan is the only country among five SAARC states that improved its Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score.
The TI report on CPI 2015, formally launched on Wednesday, said the rest four countries scored the same or less than the score in 2014.
TI Pakistan Chairman Sohail Muzaffar, in a statement, said the CPI score for Pakistan has again increased by one point to thirty, and rank improved by three.
The index covered perceptions of public sector corruption in one hundred and sixty-eight countries.
Denmark took the top spot for the second year with North Korea and Somalia the worst performers, scoring just eight points each.
