Will take any step to purge Karchi of criminals: Raheel Sharif

RAWALPINDI (Staff Reporter) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said that every step will be taken to end crimes from Karachi.

While chairing a high level meeting in Corps headquarters Karachi on Wednesday, Raheel vowed to purge Karachi of criminal. He said that law enforcement agencies have destroyed terrorists’ network in the country.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Raheel Sharif lauded the efforts of intelligence and law enforcement agencies against terror networks. He said that they have vowed to go to any length for a secure and terror-free Karachi to ensure a peaceful and fearless life for people of the city.

The Army Chief was briefed in detail regarding ongoing Karachi operation including intelligence based operations.

COAS specially commended the intelligence agencies for achieving major breakthroughs in unearthing various terrorist networks in their bid to dismantle terror infrastructure and sever their linkages with terrorist cells and bases outside Karachi.

The meeting was attended by Corps Commander, DG ISI, DG MI and DG Rangers.
