Singh spoke to his fans through his Independence day ‘show’ supporting peace between the two nations India and Pakistan. However, his video angered a lot of fans and the pop-star received an immense amount of backlash as his message was taken in the wrong way.

The Indian singer did not step down from his stance and tweeted after the backlash he received:
