Pakistan, Afghanistan agree to prepare mechanism for border crossing

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that creating a peaceful neighborhood is the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said that peace in Afghanistan was one of the top priorities of the present government and added that Pakistan was continuing its policy of non-interference in Afghanistan.

Aziz said border management along the Durand line was being strengthened to curb illegal border crossings.

Afghan nationals will not be admitted into Pakistan without valid documents, he added. He also said that the two countries had agreed on preparing a mechanism for the amicable resolution of all outstanding issues, including management of the Pak-Afghan border.
