LAHORE (Web Desk) – Another 100 megawatts (MW) of electricity produced by Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park Bahawalpur would be available to the consumers in April 2015.

The project, as per announced by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, was set to start working in December 2014 but got delayed due to a Chinese firm failing to fulfill criteria during the due-diligence process carried out by the Punjab government.

The park covers an area of 5,000 acres in the Cholistan Development Authority and was completed at a cost of $131 million.
