ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmad says new Islamabad International Airport will be completed by October next year, Daily Pakistan Global reported on Friday.
The minister said this in National Assembly session during question hour, added that about 80 per cent work has already been completed and the remaining is being completed at a fast pace.
He said two runways have been constructed and distance between two run ways is as per International Aviation Organization standards.
Shaikh Aftab told the House that after the implementation of monetization policy, a mechanism has been placed to avoid misuse of pool vehicles in government departments.
He apprised the parliamentarians that steps have been taken by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation for promotion of tourism in the country.
Security to the tourists is also being provided wherever needed.
