Sartaj Aziz eyes revival of Pak-India comprehensive dialogue in February after Jan 15 meeting

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister’s special adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz Monday said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pakistan will help improve atmosphere for the upcoming foreign secretary level talks between the two countries on January 15.

In an interview, he said the visit has sent positive signal to the officials concerned about seriousness of the leadership for sorting out disputes.

Sartaj Aziz expressed the hope that dialogue between the two countries on issues covering comprehensive composite dialogue can be kicked off in February.

He said issues like Siachen, Sir Creek, confidence-building measures, water, Kashmir and terrorism have been picked for structured talks.
