LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Pakistan captain Imran Khan has backed fast bowler Mohammad Amir, urging the nation to give him another chance.
The most popular captain in Pakistani cricket was talking during a programme on ARY News. Imran Khan fully supported the pacer and also asked everyone to support him as he finished his jail term and five year ban.
“He confessed his crime and apologised to the nation, Allah is merciful so should we be and give Amir another chance,” Khan added.

Last week, ODI captain Azhar Ali and opener Mohammad Hafeez boycotted the training camp on the inclusion of spot-fixing tainted pacer Amir.
Similarly, former captain and ambassador of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Ramiz Raja, was critical of the PCB’s sympathy towards Amir and said that if he had powers to make a call on the matter, he would have never let the young fast bowler play again.
