HUBEI (Web Desk) – A young Chinese man is being hailed a national hero for selflessly attempting to break a woman’s fall from the 11th floor of a residential tower.
The man, identified as Mr. Feng, heard her screams from the 11th floor of a residential building and ran out of a nearby restaurant, Viral Thread reported on Monday.
It is warned that the footage is distressing.
CCTV footage shows Feng running in front of a building in Enshi City, Hubei Province, on December 23, with outstretched arms in an attempt to catch the falling woman.
Unfortunately, he could do little to protect the woman from such a high fall.
He was knocked out by the impact and suffered injuries on his knee joints, and had a tibial plateau fracture.
