Kabul: At least 40 dead as twin suicide blasts rock cultural complex

KABUL – At least 40 people were killed and scores injured after two suicide attacks ripped through Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul on Thursday.

According to Tolo News, a suicide bomber detonated himself near a cultural complex, Tebyan Center, in Kabul.

Media reports suggest another attack took place near a news agency, Afghan Voice Agency.

Afghan interior ministry said that at least 30 people were killed during the attack on cultural centre and 10 died in the other attack.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and the injured are being shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
