LAHORE – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 833,000 by attaching the bank of model, Mahreen Syed, a tax defaulter.
The director of International Fashion Academy and renowned model was directed to pay the outstanding amount of income tax detected during an audit for the year 2012.
Despite sending repeated notices, she did not pay the tax, following which a team of Corporate Regional Tax Office attached her bank account in MCB Gulberg branch and recovered the amount.
