MUMBAI – It seems that rumors about Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan being selected to play Deepika Padukone’s husband in the upcoming film Padmavati’ were false, after the Indian media revealed that Fawad was, in fact, never approached for the role.

Quoting a source, Times of India reported that the news of Fawad doing or rejecting the period drama was merely rumor.
Earlier, it was reported that Fawad Khan was being considered for the role of Deepika’s screen husband in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next epic.
The reports said that the role had been offered to Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Ali Zafar, before allegedly being offered to Fawad Khan.
