ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong has said that his country acknowledges Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism and extends its cooperation for the elimination of this menace.
Addressing the 65th-anniversary of Pak-China diplomatic relations, Sun Weidong said the countries were also cooperating for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
The ambassador said that both the countries also enjoyed very good military-to-military relations in counter-terrorism.
He also appreciated Pakistan for its successful efforts in fighting terrorism and urged the international community to acknowledge the country’s sacrifices against terrorism.
He also mentioned the benefits of Pakistan and China’s cooperation in the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor to connect China’s underdeveloped north-western provinces with Pakistan’s southern deep sea-port of Gwadar, saying it would improve regional trade and connectivity manifold.
