ISLAMABAD – Corps Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Amir Riaz has been appointed as Chief of General Staff, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.
The post, previously held by General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, was vacant after his promotion to the rank of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).
Meanwhile, Military Secretary Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza has been appointed as Corps Commander Southern Command.
