PM Imran Khan leaves for Malaysia today

ISLAMABAD – After gaining a package of $6 billion from friendly Kingdom of Saudia Arabia and ongoing talks for a financial assistance package with UAE, Prime Minister Imran Khan will be setting off for Malaysia today (Sunday) for his third official visit in three weeks.

Imran Khan will be discussing economic cooperation and strengthening ties between the two countries during the trip.

Finance Minister Asad Umar, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will accompany him.

PM Khan will be meeting his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohammad during his visit.

He will hold a consultative meeting with the finance department team after the trip.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasised Pakistan’s “close and cordial” relations with Malaysia in a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

PM Khan expressed that Pakistani government and people have “immense respect” for Matahir as a “statesman and global leader”.
