Fawad Khan was already in Pakistan, Indian media spread false rumors

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Contrary to the claims of Indian media, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan was already in Pakistan and there was no point of him leaving India secretly, it has been learnt.

According to the details, Indian zealot group  Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had threatened Pakistani artists to leave the country within 48 hours amid strained ties between the neighbours after Uri attack.

The Indian media had yesterday aired the news that Fawad Khan had left India secretly succumbing to the threats of extremists but now it has been revealed that the “Humsafar” actor was already in Pakistan.

India based manager of Fawad also refuted the news by Indian media adding the screen idol has been in Pakistan for at least a month’s duration as his better half was expecting.

Moreover, No Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Delhi or Mumbai landed in Lahore or Karachi yesterday. Lahore airport authorities also confirmed that Fawad has not been at the airport.

The false report by leading Indian daily including Times of India depict the editorial standard of Journalism in world’s biggest democracy. Some publications were insisting that the performer would not return to India for the promotion of his upcoming Bollywood flick without any confirmation from the actor himself.

Pakistani artists have faced threats in past as well. In 2015, Indian extremist group Shiv Sena threatened Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan from promoting their movies in Maharashtra. Recently, an Indian journalist had penned an open letter to Fawad Khan in the aftermath of Uri attack, asking him to return to Pakistan.

“We have watched in pain how you have chosen to look away when your country is inflicting pain on us.” he wrote.
