LAHORE, KARACHI – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan arrived in Lahore where he will address his party’s rally at Minar-e-Pakistan today (Sunday).
This will be PTI’s massive political show in the PML-N stronghold after seven years, just a couple of months before general elections.
On Saturday night, Imran Khan visited Minar-e-Pakistan to review arrangements for today’s rally.
He was given a warm welcome by the party leaders and workers on this occasion.

PTI chief has promised to gather a large crowd. He said he would unveil a 10-point agenda for ‘Naya Pakistan’ at the rally, which according to PTI, will be largest of the country’s history.

On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also address a public gathering of the party today in Karachi.
The rally will be held at Liaquatabad’s Tanki Ground, where a 120 by 40 feet stage has been set up along with 30,000 chairs for party workers and supporters.
Earlier, PPP Vice-President and Senate Opposition Leader Sherry Rehman visited the site to inspect the arrangements. Speaking to the media, she said the PPP will not let Karachi’s condition deteriorate any further.
Bilawal is expected to address the rally around 6pm while the time for the gathering is 4pm. Sindh Police have chalked out a security and traffic plan for the rally.
Police said officials of the Special Security Unit will be posted on the route and inside the venue, while 2,100 district police personnel will be deployed to cover the event, including one SSP, five SPs, and 10 DSPs.
Moreover, 100 female police officials have also been deployed for security duties. A total of 100 police pickups and five bulletproof vehicles will be patrolling around the site of the rally as well.
