PML-N pursuing policy of reconciliation, says PM Nawaz

MUZAFFARABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday apparently in his first response to speeches of PPP co-chairman and chairman said PML-N was following a policy of reconciliation in the larger interest of the country.

The PM Nawaz was addressing the 53rd budget session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad. He highlighted that PML-N’s policy of reconciliation is also visible in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The prime minister also thanked people of Azad Kashmir for showing confidence in PML-N in the last elections, and said the party is making efforts to serve the public without any discrimination.

He said Azad Kashmir has great potential to develop and all possible steps will be taken to exploit this potential. He said investors from Azad Kashmir would also be welcomed and facilitated if they invest in such projects.

At the outset, fateha was offered for those who martyred in Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces.

The prime minister administered oath to the two new members of the Council including Abdul Khaliq Wasi and Chaudhary Muhammad Siddique.

Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Barjees Tahir, Asif Kirmani and Senator Parvaiz Rasheed were accompanying the prime minister.
