TOBA TEK SINGH – The death toll from toxic liquor in Toba Tek has risen to 42.
Three more victims undergoing treatment at a hospital died raising the death toll to 42. DPO Toba Usman Akram Gondal said the deaths occurred due to consuming aftershave lotion and five suspects have been arrested in this connection.
He said the aftershave lotion was sold as liquor to the people who lost their lives after consuming it. On the other hand, the heirs and families of victims attacked inquiry committee members and police personnel when they reached the area. The heirs and families of the victims also chanted slogans against local administration and police.-Online
