Pakistan confirms Mullah Mansour’s killing, hands over body to heirs

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Confirming the identity of Mullah Akhtar Mansour who was killed in a US drone strike in Balochistan’s Naushki district, Pakistan Foreign Office said that the body has been handed over to the heirs of the slain Afghan Taliban leader.

According to the FO spokesperson, a relative of Mullah Mansour reached Pakistan from Afghanistan and demanded the body of the Taliban commander.

His identity as Taliban leader was confirmed after a DNA test, the FO spokesman added.
