Two Indian soldiers killed as terrorists storm army camp in Nagrota

SRINAGAR – Two soldiers have been reportedly killed while two others injured in a terror attack on an army artillery unit in Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning.

The terrorists threw grenades at the camp in Nagrota, around 20 km from Jammu and on the highway, at 5.30 am and opened fire. A major and a jawan were killed. Firing is still on between the army and the terrorists.

Nagrota is the headquarters of the army’s 16 Corps, a massive military formation that defends the borders and fights terrorists in the greater Jammu region.

The army has cordoned off the area and all schools have been shut down. Traffic has been stopped on the highway, NDTV reported.

In a second incident, the Border Security Force killed two terrorists after it intercepted a group of terrorists attempting to cross over at the International Border at Ramgarh in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector.

In September, 19 soldiers were killed when terrorists attacked an army base in Uri for shich India alleged Pakistan however, Pakistan refuted any such allegations of involvement in attack.
