Two FC troops martyred in Sibbi blast

QUETTA – Two Frontier Corps (FC) officials were martyred and three injured on Wednesday after a landmine explosion hit Balochistan’s Sibbi district.

The security personnel were on a routine patrol in Sangan area of Sibbi when a landmine explosed near the vehicle.

Following the incident, the security forces reached the site and cordoned it off in order to launch the security operation.

Rescue officials have shifted the three officials injured as a result of the blast to Sibbi Hospital for treatment.

Earlier this month, two senior police officials, including DIG Telecommunication Hamid Shakeel and Acting SP Investigation Muhammad Ilyas, were killed in Quetta.

Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri has expressed condolences to the families of the martyred personnel.
