Pakistani cricketer Bismah Maroof ties the knot in Lahore

LAHORE – Pakistan woman team cricketer Bisma Maroof walked down the aisle in Lahore on Wednesday. Maroof, first had her dholki function followed by a Barat function.

Bismah Maroof  is the former captain of Pakistan national women’s cricket team. She was part of the Pakistan squad at the 2009 Women’s Cricket World Cup in Australia and she was selected to play in the 2010 Asian Games in China.

On 11 October 2017, Bismah was selected as captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team. She was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the 2018 Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup, with 143 runs in five matches.

The 27-year-old cricketer was looking pretty in all the pictures with her teammates during at her dholki and Ruskhati event. The bride adorned a beautiful red lehanga and the groom wore a traditional eastern wedding dress Sherwani and a golden Qula (turban).

Among those who attended were former captain Sana Mir, fast bowlers Kainat Imtiaz and Diana Baig, all-rounder Aiman Anwar, and wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz. Bismah made a beautiful bride as seen in the pictures surfacing on social media.

As the reports emerged, her husband Abrar is an engineer by profession and Bismah’s first cousin.

Her reception will be held in Faisalabad.
