KARATRPUR – On Wednesday, 28 November, Thousands of Indian Sikh devotees attended the memorable groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur Sahib temple in Punjab, Pakistan.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the 4-kilometer long corridor gave speech saying that the two nuclear-armed neighbors can never go to war and reiterated his offer of ‘one step by you, two steps by us’.

During his speech, Khan also mentioned that Kashmir was the “only” issue for Pakistan. The Indian ministry of external affairs spokesperson immediately issued a statement in Delhi that it was “regrettable” that Pakistan prime minister chose to “politicize a pious occasion”.
Imran Khan, quoting a couplet of Muni Niazi, said that it was time to go beyond “blame game” and “point scoring”, adding, “We take one step forward and then go back two steps.”
During his address, Khan called for the past to be forgotten. Citing the example of France and Germany who have become good neighbors without any hangover of war, he said: “we have certainly not conducted any massacres as they have”.
