ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday sent a summary to the petroleum ministry recommending an increase up to Rs19.33 in petroleum prices.
According to the summary, an increase of Rs2.36 per litre in petrol price and Rs2.20 in diesel price have been recommended. The new rate will be effective from October 1 after the ministry’s approval.
The authority has also suggested to hike the price of kerosene oil by Rs19.33 per litre.
Earlier, the government had approved an increase of Rs 2 in petrol price for the running month, September, while prices for high-speed diesel, kerosene oil and light-speed diesel were not changed.
