CTD kills five terrorists planning to target public places in Gujrat

GUJRAT – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed at least five terrorists during a raid in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to reports, three of their close associates managed to escape from the scene, however, the officials recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during the action.

CTD claimed that the terrorists, affiliated with a banned outfits, were planning to target public places of Gujrat and Khariyaan.

The killed terrorists were affiliated with the banned outfit, Al-Qaeda Tehreek-e-Taliban that had took responsibility for the suicide blast in Lahore in which at least 14 people, including senior police officers, were martyred.
