ISLAMABAD – Consumers may get good news with the start of next month, April as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Friday recommended a decrease in the price of petrol.
According to a summary sent to the Ministry of Finance and Petroleum Division, a reduction of Rs5.26 per litre has been recommended in the petrol price. The price will decrease to Rs82 if the summary is approved.
On the other hand, the Ogra has recommended an increase of 55 paisa in light diesel, 65 paisa in high speed diesel and 13 paisa perlitrer in Kerosene oil.
For the month of March, the government increased the price of petrol by Rs3.56 per litre in line with fluctuation in global oil prices.
