Imran Khan, 62, married Reham Khan, 41, in January this year. She was a British Pakistani journalist and television anchor.
The couple formally tied knot in Islamabad and celebrated their valima at Khan’s residence in Bani Gala after months of speculation about secret marriage.
Reham, divorced mother-of-three, earlier lived in Britain and was associated with BBC as a weather host.
Imran Khan married to Jemima Goldsmith in May 1995. Jemima was a British writer and activist. They have two sons, Sulaiman Isa Khan and Qasim Khan. The marriage ended in divorce in 2004.
It is learnt that Imran Khan’s sisters and family friends had never accepted Reham Khan that became major reason for the divorce.
Earlier, in September Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan took to social media rejecting reports suggesting his marriage with Reham Khan was on the rocks. “I am shocked at a TV channel making slanderous statement about my marriage. I strongly urge the media to desist from such baseless statements,” said the former cricketer-turned politician in a message sent to his 2.85 million followers on Twitter.

Earlier in September, renowned journalist Arif Nizami hinted towards the deteriorating relations between the former couple of Khans. His report was widely criticised by political and media circles.
Mr Nizami reported that Reham Khan was staying at Imran’s Bani Gala residence even though she was not welcome there any longer. The report, citing Mr Nizami, claimed that Imran had recently returned from London where he had recently stayed with his children and Jemima, his ex-wife.
Jemima had tweeted photos of Imran and her sons posing together on her Instagram account during the PTI chairman’s stay in London. The relationship with Reham, already on the rocks, worsened since Khan returned to Pakistan and differences between the couple may have reached point of no return, claimed the report.
