ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – PM Adviser on National Security Sartaj Aziz has said that international community needs to join hands to develop a strategy to counter terrorism.
He said this while addressing a joint news conference with the visiting German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier in Islamabad on Monday.
Sartaj Aziz said operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken the backbone of terrorists and is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
He said they have a productive meeting and exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional and global issues specially situation in Afghanistan and stalemate in India-Pakistan dialogue.
The Adviser said Pakistan welcomes German investment in various sectors of economy including engineering and renewable energy.
German Foreign Minister said Germany gives importance to its relations with Pakistan.
The Minister appreciated its achievements in fight against terrorism. He said the world recognizes its sacrifices in war against terrorism.
Frank Walter Steinmeier said Kashmir dispute cannot be excluded from Pakistan-India dialogue.
He pointed out there are pressing issues between both the countries including Jammu and Kashmir.
He said it is important for both the countries to engage in talks for the resolution of issues.
