KARACHI (News Desk) – While media is abuzz with the reports of ‘revelations’ made by Liyari gangster Uzair Jan Baloch after Sindh Rangers formally announced his arrest on January 30 and produced him in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) to get 90-day physical remand, his eldest daughter Yursala has claimed that her father was arrested by the law enforcement agencies on December 27, 2014.
“My father was taken away by the officials of Interpol thirteen months ago when we were sitting in the lounge of Dubai airport,” the Dawn quoted 14-year-old daughter of the gangster who is blamed for over 275 murders including policemen.
Yusala further stated that Dubai authorities initially told us that Uzair Baloch would remain in their custody for a while however he was never released until Sindh Rangers claimed that they have arrested my father from Karachi on January 30, 2016. He was presumably in the custody of law enforcement agencies since December 2014, she added.
She also shared a picture of Uzair Blaoch which showed him at a location Dubai, saying that it was taken just two days before his arrest in 2014.
Meanwhile she also expressed her happiness towards his father’s production in the court, adding that “now we at least know that he was alive.”
Earlier on January 30, the Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested notorious Lyari’s gang-war leader Uzair Jan Baloch. According to Rangers spokesman, Baloch was arrested from a locality on outskirts of Karachi while entering the city.
Following the arrest, sources said, police and Rangers have been put on high alert.
Uzair Baloch fled Pakistan in 2013 after the launch of a Rangers operation in the metropolis.
The suspect has been blamed for running a network involved in criminal activities including killings, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and drugs business.
