Tahir-ul-Qadri to land back in Pakistan with Go Shehbaz Go slogan

LONDON – Chairperson of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri announced that he would be returning to Pakistan on August 8.

The PAT supremo who surprises everyone with his haphazard appearances in Pakistan expressed that he intends to start a campaign against Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab and nominee of PML (N) for the seat of Prime Minister.

We will now raise ‘Go Shehbaz Go’ slogans, Qadri said.

Earlier, after a five-member bench of the Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif as prime minister, the PAT chief maintained that the former Prime Minister had made a farcical statement to justify his corrupt practices and that there could be no viable defence in face of the atrocities committed by the party.

“The nomination of Mian Shahbaz Shareef as the next Prime Minister, by the ousted former Prime Minister, is ridiculous and challenges the laws and constitution of the country,” Qadri had said.

It bears mentioning that apparently, the PAT head lauded the decision by the top court that led to the ouster of Nawaz Sharif, however, when the Joint Investigation Team was investigating the case, he branded it ‘election cell of PML-N’.
