Five terrorists killed in Lahore shootout

LAHORE (Staff Report) – As many as five alleged terrorists have been killed in an armed clash with Police in Lahore, Punjab Police Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera said on Thursday.

According to the statement, weapons and explosives were also recovered during the police raid. The killed terrorists were members of al-Qaeda’s sub-continent chapter.

IG Police said that these militants were involved in a number of terrorist activities including attacks on Ahmedis. The group had no links with recent suicide blast at Lahore’s Gulshan-e- Iqbal Park which killed 74 people including women and children.
