ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court on Monday summoned Imran Khan to appear before the court in personal capacity in a petition pertaining to PTI’s Islamabad show down.
Imran Khan has been sought to appear before the judges to clarify his position over PTI’s slated plans of Islamabad Lock Down on November 2. Earlier, the court had ordered PTI not to shut down the capital.
However, PTI’s counsel Naeem Bukhari today stated in court that the protest would start from Democracy Park.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui inquired whether Imran Khan agreed to stage his protest in Democracy park. He also observed that the media should refrain from trial of judges.
He inquired that whether only Imran Khan was a respectable person in the country. He also sought the interpretation of lock down from PTI.
Justice Siddiqui asked Inspector general Islamabad to make arrangements for the arrival of Imran Khan in court.
