Current spell of heavy monsoon rains to continue till Thursday

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The widespread monsoon showers continued across the country today (Sunday) as Met Office predicts torrential rains from Sunday to Thursday, local media reported.

Widespread rains with scattered heavy falls are expected in different cities from Sunday to Tuesday, generating flash flooding and urban flooding in vulnerable area, PMD said.

Well marked seasonal low lies over Southwest Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending south eastwards.

Strong monsoon currents are penetrating into upper and central parts of the country and expected to continue during next 02 days that may interact with westerly wave.

Strong monsoon currents are also approaching in southern parts of the country and likely to continue upto Thursday.
