Telecommunication Authority bans cordless phones

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has placed a ban on sale of Dect Sip cordless phones on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.

Zones of Enforcement Division have contacted Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), police, Traders Union and importers and conducted a meeting.

According to a declaration issued by PTA, cordless phones use mobile spectrum authorized by phone licenses which decrease the quality of mobile for consumers.

The declaration reads that action will be taken against those who are involved in selling and buying of cordless phones.
