GUJRAT (Web Desk) – At least two policemen were injured in an armed attack on a police checkpost here on Wednesday night with two terrorists also killed in retaliation, officials said.
District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Zameerul Haq told Geo News that unidentified gunmen ambushed Goteriala Police Checkpost, injuring two policemen deployed there.
In retaliation, two terrorists were gunned down by the police, he added.
DPO Haq said exact numbers of attackers was difficult to ascertain due to darkness. However, he added that the encounter was ongoing as the attackers had been surrounded by the police force.
