The much-awaited trailer of multi starrer The Legend of Maula Jatt is finally out. The trailer got a great response from the audience on social media sites, but social media user, M Muttaqi S Ali has issues with the remake of Pakistani’s cult classic.
He shared that the original Maula Jatt that was released in the late seventies was an outcome of his father’s struggle and hard work and The legend of Maula Jatt‘s producers including Bilal Lashari, Ammara Hikmat, Nasir Adeeb have stolen Ali’s father strenuous hard work without taking any copyrights.
He also mentioned that his father fought as a single man for getting the movie released in Pakistan back during the martial law era. In a long post by Ali, he also mentioned how a few months ago the Intellectual Property Tribunal prohibited producer Bilal Lashari and their team from using the title of Maula Jatt, allowing the combination of the words Maula and Jatt to be used separately but not together.

Ali believes that Bilal Lashari has violated the laws, taking advantage of the government position of his father Kamran Lashari who is influencing the institutions like Intellectual Property Organization and Censor Boards to bypass the whole legal system. Kamran Lashari has also been named as a party in our case against filed by Ali against the Maula Jutt team.
He also wrote that their applications for the registration of the FIR against Ammara Hikmat, Bilal Lashari, Nasir Adeeb, and their team is pending in the FIA for almost a year now and Kamran Lashari is influencing FIA in this case, the same way that he was allegedly influencing FIA in his own corruption case of Grand Hyatt Hotel Islamabad.

Ali had written in the last of his post about the biased attitude of many publications of Pakistan, saying that leading media houses have avoiding publishing their side of the story.
Till now Bilal Lashari has not responded to Muttaqi’s claims.
