PM stresses speedy implementation of NAP to combat terror

QUETTA (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif reviewed the implementation on National Action Plan (NAP) in a meeting of provincial apex committee in Quetta, media reported.
According to details, the meeting reviewed law and order situation and matters pertaining to anti-terrorism in province Balochistan.
Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, provincial ministers and top security officials attended the meeting at the Governor’s House.
Sharif assured every kind of support to the provincial government to curtail the evil of militancy. The federal government would listen to every issue raised by the province, he said.
Recalling that the National Action Plan was formulated with consensus of the political and military leadership, Sharif directed all the provinces to speed up the implementation of the NAP to combat terrorism.
The government has the responsibility to enforce and implement this plan, he said, while adding, “difficult decisions have to be made”. The premier also reviewed development projects in the province.
Army Chief and PM Sharif visited the corps headquarters Quetta as well.
Later, Sharif kicked off a plantation campaign in the province by planting a “Quetta Palm” sepal.
