The aftermath of the Pulwama attack led to many Bollywood celebs demanding to end cultural exchanges with Pakistan. While Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Rekha Bhardwaj and others cancelled their scheduled visits to Pakistan, others such as Sonam Kapoor, Javed Jaffri and Swara Bhaskar are vouching for peace amid the tense political situation.
Indian actress Swara Bhaskar has come forth praising the initiative of a group of young Pakistanis who have out-rightly criticized the Pulwama attack in Indian occupied Kashmir.
She posted a few pictures of a group of girls holding placards that state: “I am a Pakistani and I condemn Pulwama Terrorist Attack” with the hashtags #AntiHateChallenge and #NoToWar.
Thank you friends from #Pakistan for this message of condolence and peace. Laudable initiative by young Pakistanis. We hear you! ????❤️❤️ #Pulwama pic.twitter.com/pJIZKI2c5O

In another tweet, the Veere di Wedding actor added, “Everyone who is spending time spreading hatred and abuse on Twitter, WhatsApp, and social media. This is you.”

Bhaskar’s view on the matter was surprising since the last statement she gave about Pakistan was about nothing but hate.
Swara was involved in a controversy where she called Pakistan a ‘failing state’ after the country refused to release her film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ last year.
